A Night Out

Some of the girls went out for a MNO last night! We went to Tokyo Live to try their Hibachi Grill. While it wasn't horrible, I think we all pretty much agree that Shangri-La is better! The selection is bigger at Tokyo Live, but the food and atmosphere at Shangri-La can't be beat!!

Our little cook guy had the hots for Heather. Though I am unsure if it was before or after he accidentally popped her with grease on her arm! He was kinda funny! Well, he made me laugh anyways! lol

Afterwards, Kelly, Heather and I went to a little hole in the wall called Gloria's. Which I hear is called the G-Spot! That alone makes it rock! It was a good time!! I REALLY enjoy my nights out!! I actually appreciate them so much more now, than when I went all the time! It is always so nice to get out, and eat uninterrupted and actually have a WHOLE conversation!

Fun!

Spoiled

So I have been throwing regular pity parties for myself lately! This was supposed to be our 1st ever, actual VACATION this year. We always travel to visit family and friends. Neither of us have ever taken a week and headed to the beach or anything. So since we went to Oregon last year, we decided no matter what, we were heading to Florida after school started! Well, somebody (me!) wanted to buy a house, so that plan went down in flames! LOL

Anyways, I've just been pouting to myself, really wanting to get away and seeing everyone I know leave for some fun. Well, (YAAY) we are getting away next week. It "ain't" no Florida get away, but I'll take it!! We are going to Galveston and Texas City for a few days early July! I am happy. Did I mentioned I was spoiled?!

I hope those people at the beaches are prepared for this whiteness!!! LMAO!

Father's Day

Unfortunately, Bub is spending Father's Day in the middle of the gulf. My dad is in Texas. Sigh

But, thankfully we didn't spend Father's Day alone! My Aunt and Uncle made supper (bangin steaks) and I brought the dessert. Then we all floated in their pool for a while! It was nice, just them, their kids, Regan and I and Papaw. It was a very mellow day. What a blessing. Before we left the ice cream man passed and we all had a treat to boot!

You know, I get down when Bub is away for holidays. No matter which it is. I guess I never feel like it's worth celebrating when he isn't there to share it. Especially when it's HIS day!

It was nice to get out and spend time with family though! There are so few of us in our family these days. It is nice we make the time to be together!

And I think despite her daddy being gone.....Regan had a good time playing with Connor! She was all tuckered out on the way home!

On our way home!

Oh boy!

So when did this parenting thing take a wrong turn?!?!
Who is this child and what did she do with my sweet little girl?!

The last few weeks Regan has been testing me at every angle.
Things that used to be so simple --> "clean up your room", to which she would
happily oblige and even vacuum too. Now I am told "I don't feel like it!"

And my raised eyebrow look......working less and less!
You know, the "excuuuuuse me??" look, followed by a slight neck roll...
Yeah, working not to much any more!

In the past few days she has written on her stool. I know, I should be
proud. She was working on her R's. Only it was a P. I must have
busted her or something and she didn't finish! lol But this is a
child who NEVER wrote on anything when you expect kids to.
You know at 1 and 2 when they are just all over the place!
Nope!
She waits until she is 3 and knows damn well better and decides
to make her mark on her bedding and her fabric rocker.
I couldn't believe it!
It is one thing when a child just doesn't know any better.
But it is asking for it when they are old enough and smart enough.

Yesterday I walk into her "sleeping room" (long story) and find
that she has taken scissors and cut off part of her little mermaid
doll's hair she got for her birthday. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
Surely she has lost her mind!

Yes, I know they are all kid things. But Regan is a smart girl!
Too smart and has been, always!
Which I guess is unfortunate for her since it gets her in WAY more
trouble when she does little stupid crap!

To make matters worse, she seems completely unfazed by ANY
of the threats to take away her privileges or toys or clothes or anything else.
What gives? I fussed at her tonight because she keeps making messes in the
living room. Every night I ask her to pick up her stuff and put it away.
Not throw it in her room. Well, she did it again.
I walked in there and she had dolls and dress up clothes everywhere!
We had only been home for 2 hours and the house was immaculate
when we left this morning! So I spanked her.
Completely unfazed.
I then found that she did something else.
So I start fussing at her. Do you know she is smiling now?! I of course am
fuming at this point and though I am avoiding yelling so far, I start to yell.
Which causes me to choke. So I am teary eyed from choking, still coughing
and trying to yell and........she is still smiling! Ugh!

Someone save me!

If not from my 4 year old...........
then from myself!!!! sigh

What's Up....

Well, I want to be upset that no one has viewed our house since it went on the market. But, at the same time, I am sort of relieved! With all that has gone on in the past week, the house has yet to be perfectly "show" ready.

Last weekend was Regan's 4th birthday party. Which was really fun by the way! lol We rented her an 18 foot water slide and it was a BLAST! The kids loved it and a handful of parents got on too! I think everyone had a great time. I know Regan did. And at the end of the day that's all that really matters!!

Monday, I had the final meeting with the builder and signed the official papers! No changes after this! Which is good in the aspect that we cannot ADD anything else! LOL We are right at $20K in upgrades at this point! lol Last Friday he picked up the building permit and by the end of June the plumbing will all be laid and the foundation should be poured! After that, it should be smooth sailing from there! I hope there isn't a bunch of rain or (gulp) any hurricanes that would mess up progress!

These are our cabinet, counters, and floor samples.

At the same time, however long it takes to build, we have to sell our house. It's such a crazy feeling! We want to hurry and sell, because it will be a guarantee that there will be no hitches in our plan and we will also know how much profit we will make. But again, if we sell our house in the next month we will HAVE to move out and find a place to rent, which I am sorely not looking forward to!! I guess I won't worry about not selling until the beginning of September. Then we might be down to crunch time!

Right now we've got $8600 to put down on the new house! I would LOVE to double that! And who knows, we might get close! Fingers crossed we make a profit on our house and can do it! We also have to buy a new fridge, have a fence built, buy new TVs as soon as the house is done! Thank goodness my husband is a hard workin man. He can pull it off!

Tuesday I woke up with a sore throat and by that evening I felt like shit! I woke up Wednesday drained and sinusy. So it's Friday and we are at home so I can recoup. I hope to get some things done, so it may be a blessing in disguise. I guess we will see how Regan acts today to determine how the day goes! lol

First T-Ball Game

Yesterday was Regan's first T-Ball game! Oh, by the way, they are the Tigers and their color is GOLD so whenever I write about T-Ball you can expect it to be in yellow! LOL

So, after weeks of bi-weekly practices, they got their shirts, their hats (courtesy of the coach), took their team and individual pictures and "PLAYED BALL!!". It was really cute! The kids did really well. There was some focus issues......but what else can be expected from 3 1/3 and 4 year olds! lol

It has been confirmed that not only is Regan a little diva in real life, she is one on the field too! The girl wants to be where the action is! The first "inning' she was put in left field. She proceeded to sit in the grass and chew on her glove. The second time they were in the field, the coach put her playing short stop - which she LOVES! But among the chaos, and the kids wandering around, he put her on 3rd base. Which she was fine with, but kept running towards the ball after it was hit. So he put her back in left field! Holy neck rolling terror! She was pissed off! She yelled to me that "SHE WAS LEFT FIELD NOW!" It was interesting! Kyla, the coaches wife walked onto the field and asked her if she was wiggling her neck at me. It was funny!

Her coach and his wife are wonderful! I have seen and heard about the coaching in other teams, and thought I know before, we really are blessed to have such great influences on our children!

I am definitely look forward to more games!!

Here is Regan at bat, her first swing!

In Three Days

In three short days my BABY is going for be 4 can you even believe it?!? Where oh where did the time go??

I am sitting here all teary already! I guess I will in fact cry for this birthday just like I did for the others! Damn, when did I become so mushy!!

We are throwing her a big birthday bash on Saturday. It's a "royal" / "princess" theme (to be fair to the boys!) and we rented an 18 foot water slide. She is really excited! For one she has been looking forward to be birthday since I think Christmas, she LOVES any kind of party and she loves have all her friends over!! Pretty much everything is done. I just need to figure out a cake and decide what food to serve!

Well, as a small tribute to my little princess here are some pictures!
